Alternative Fashion - How It Came To Be

The origin of this expression alternative fashion is unclear. Alternative fashion is exactly what you and I understand as"streetwear clothes". What folks mean by"choice" is different from what is considered an alternative now. To put it differently, we would not think of a 4th of July party as an alternative fashion.
Alternative was always a fun thing for the youth. As an example, punk rock is often regarded as an alternative fashion. Many punk clothing lines were a big hit in Japan and they were able to sell out hundreds of thousands of stores within days. The world of high fashion is a hit or miss business when it comes to style.
Harajuku fashion became popular in the 70s. Unlike"trendy" schools, it did not include many trends from the mainstream. However, it does incorporate a lot of street design and is one of the top areas for creating punk clothing.

Alternative fashion is quite popular in Japan's"Harajuku" neighborhood. Streetwear clothes are found at several specialty stores in the area. Just as traditional clothing may be lovely, fashion is equally as beautiful.
